Uglich Cheese and Dairy Plant has upgraded its cheese range and revised the packaging design

The Uglich Cheese & Dairy Plant is modernising its cheese line and packaging design. Organic cheeses will maintain their "Ugleche Pole" branding, while the new premium line cheeses will come in the white colour of the brand's logo.

AgriVolga Agricultural Holding, the flagship of organic production, has been working on Russian cheese production in Uglich for many years at the Uglich Cheese and Dairy Plant (USMZ, AgriVolga holding), in collaboration with VNIIMS.

After being modernised in 2020, the Uglichsky Cheese and Dairy Plant (USMZ) produces famous cheeses using modern equipment according to traditional recipes, based on the Uglichsky biofactory starters: "Russian," "Dutch," "Kostroma," "Uglichsky," and others, as well as organic cheeses of the same name on the experimental production line.

USMZ is currently revising its cheese production policy, and the goods will receive new packaging. The factory began producing a variety of premium cheeses, including "Uglichsky," "Poshekhonsky," "Etelsky," "Uleima," and "Romanier." These cheeses will be packed in the new white colours of the brand "Ugleche ole." And the range of organic cheeses ("Russian," "Dutch," "Kostroma," "Uglichsky," "Uleima," "Romanier") will keep its already recognisable packaging, "Ugleche Pole," in black colours.

"The cheeses produced at USMZ have long gained the hearts and trust of consumers, and their quality and flavour attributes have been recognised numerous times by various competitions and awards. We have just begun the release of a new premium line of cheese. And the revised branded packaging will enhance the image of our high-quality products while also allowing customers to quickly recognise their favourite cheese on store shelves. The colourful design of the new branded packaging for USMZ cheeses will guarantee the highest standard," says Elena Yashaeva, CEO of AgriVolga Holding.

"We chose to change the packaging design to better represent our cheesemakers' expert work on the premium cheese line. It is important for the market positioning of the company as well as for the strategic development of our cheese cultivation and manufacturing ecosystem. Furthermore, the division of branding for different cheese lines will help them become more recognisable, which influences retail sales," said Anna Khvorostyanaya, Director of the Agranta Group of Companies' Strategic Marketing Department (Ugleche Pole brand).
